Governing Documents

Below, you will find a collection of the most recent & updated documents that help run the neighborhood. The Glen Isle Improvement Association is an incorporated entity that has binding legal requirements and rules about how to run all parts of it.

The hierarchy of documents controlling this type of organization is generally as follows:

• State & Federal Law
  CC&R’s (Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions)
  The Charter or Articles of Incorporation
  Bylaws
  Rules & Regulations

At the GIIA Board level, it is usually the last two documents that are dealt with the most often as they are the most approachable and able to be altered without too much difficulty. And as long as they don’t contradict any document or rule higher in the order, it’s fine.
